Departure Information:
6:00 AM – Elite Coach Parking Lot – 1685 W Main St, Ephrata
(please park in the spaces behind the office building)
6:45 AM – Lancaster Shopping Center – 1515 Lititz Pike, Lancaster
(please park in the lot that is along the Oregon Pike side of the old A.C. Moore building)

Day 1: Monday, June 23
We travel to lovely Cape Cod with lunch on your own in route. We check in at Holiday Inn Hyannis for four nights. Dinner is included this evening.
Day 2: Tuesday, June 24
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will travel historic Route 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. We will view a windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse, and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center.
Sand dunes and the ocean surround us as we approach Provincetown at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands”, the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the bay in Plymouth. Lunch will be on your own with time to enjoy the wonderful restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this village so unique.
This afternoon, climb aboard for an amazing experience of Whale Watching (3 hours). Travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce us to everything we see, and will answer any questions about the whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses.
YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND and take part in a Dune Tour Excursion (1 hour) instead. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. The guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art.
Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant.
Day 3: Wednesday, June 25
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning.
Our local guide will meet us and we will travel to America’s Hometown – Plymouth. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country’s first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather’s Monument, the largest solid granite monument in the United States.
Next, we board a Lobster Tales Cruise to learn about the many creatures that live-in Plymouth Harbor. Experience a “hands on” approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment.
There will be free time for lunch on your own on the waterfront.
A picture stop will also be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620. View the newly restored Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World.
Back in the Mid-Cape your guide will conduct a tour of Hyannis, including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport, and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family.
Dinner is included this evening.
Day 4: Thursday, June 26
Breakfast will be at the hotel this morning before we depart for the island of your choice.
Those going to Martha’s Vineyard will board the 9 AM ferry. Upon arrival, we will board a local bus for a sightseeing tour. We will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as we pass through Vineyard Haven. There will be free time for lunch and shopping in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete the day on the island in Oak Bluffs. You may choose to stroll through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and “gingerbread” trim.
If you choose to visit Nantucket, we will board the 9:30 AM ferry. Upon arrival, the guide will point out the restaurants, galleries, shops, and museums that are within walking distance of the dock. Admission to participate in an island bus tour is included. Wear comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets and brick sidewalks that line Nantucket’s downtown area. Enjoy the day exploring and shopping on your own!
Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 5: Friday, June 27
After breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will depart for home with sand in our shoes, seashells in our pockets, and many fond memories of our trip to Cape Cod!
