Join in on the celebration of the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th Anniversary. Our first stop will be the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, VA. Then it’s on to Nashville where we’ll experience a guided tour around Nashville and the Ryman Auditorium. Visit the RCA Studio B where Elvis, Dolly, Waylon and other greats recorded music, and of course the Grand Ole Opry.

Departure Information:
6:15 AM –      Elite Coach Parking Lot – 1685 W Main St, Ephrata
(please park in the spaces behind the office building)
7:15 AM –      Lancaster Shopping Center – 1515 Lititz Pike, Lancaster
(please park in the lot that is along the Oregon Pike side of the old A.C. Moore building)

Loading will begin 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Day 1: Tuesday, April 8

We depart for Bristol, VA where we will visit the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in historic downtown Bristol, VA.  An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Birthplace of Country Music Museum tells the story of the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions-the event in history scholars refer to as the “big bang” of country music and their lasting impact on the music of today. We will have dinner at the museum this evening and stay overnight in the Bristol area.

Day 2: Wednesday, April 9

We begin the day with breakfast at our hotel before making our way to “Music City USA” Nashville, TN.

After arriving in the Tennessee capital we check into the Gaylord Opryland Resort. The Gaylord resides in the heart of Nashville and is known for its sprawling, 9-acre atrium and stunning gardens. We will have dinner at the resort with special entertainment from a local songwriter/entertainer followed by a Q&A session.

Day 3: Thursday, April 10

After breakfast, our local guide will step aboard for a tour of Nashville.  A guided tour of Nashville offers a rich exploration of the city’s music and cultural landmarks. Throughout the tour, our guide will share stories of historical anecdotes, emphasizing the impact of country music and the history and its significance in shaping Nashville into the vibrant music city it is today.

After the tour of Nashville, we travel to 5th & Broadway which delivers the ultimate shopping and dining experience.  Immerse your shopping senses in a unique blend of specialty retailers and restaurants.  Lunch is on your own this afternoon with many amazing choices available.

The next stop for the day will be at the Ryman Auditorium where we will have a guided tour.  Ryman Auditorium, originally Union Gospel Tabernacle and renamed the Grand Ole Opry House for a period, is a historic 2,363 seat live-performance venue, in the downtown core of Nashville.  A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Landmark, National Historic Landmark, and the former home of the Grand Ole Opry, it is one of the most influential and revered concert halls in the world.  It is best known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974 and was named a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark in 2022.

This evening, we will enjoy a celebratory 100th Opry Anniversary dinner and entertainment, The Show That Made Country Music Famous at The Grand Ole Opry.

Day 4: Friday, April 11

Breakfast is included at the resort this morning before we head to the RCA Studio B Tour. You will be transported back to moments that made history. Stand where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings and other greats recorded hits, and hear stories and songs born in this historically important studio.

Lunch will be on your own on 2nd Ave North, which is a bustling hub of activity, rich in history and vibrant with the sounds of country music.  This lively street is home to a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.

This afternoon, we will go to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Otherwise known as “Smithsonian of Country Music,” it is celebrated for its broad cultural impact, education mission, and unrivaled collection of historically important artifacts related to country music.

Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner at the Opry Backstage Grill where they offer a unique dining experience infused with the spirit of country music.  We will enjoy live performances by local musicians, adding to the lively atmosphere that reflects Nashville’s vibrant music scene.

Day 5: Saturday, April 12

Following breakfast at the resort we travel to Knoxville, TN.

You will enjoy lunch on your own in the Old City.

We will then have a guided tour of Knoxville, TN.  Knoxville has a rich history in country music, often referred to as the “Cradle of Country Music.”  The city’s ties to the genre are deep and influential, with several key locations and events that have contributed to the country music scene both past and present.

We will travel to Roanoke, VA where we will spend the night and have dinner at Billy’s, a restaurant that offers a stylish dining experience with a blend of historic charm and contemporary décor.

Day 6: Sunday, April 13

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we travel home with tap in your toes!
