Experience a delightful journey of Rails and Sails with the salt air of Old Mystic Seaport and the sounds of the trains in North Conway. From a night time Moose Safari to Mills Falls Marketplace shopping and a Squam Lake cruise, this 5-day New England trip is the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
Departure Information:
6:45 AM – Elite Coach Parking Lot – 1685 W Main St, Ephrata
(please park in the spaces behind the office building)
7:40 AM – Lancaster Shopping Center – 1515 Lititz Pike, Lancaster
(please park in the lot that is along the Oregon Pike side of the old A.C. Moore building)
Loading will begin 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Day 1: Friday, June 6
We depart for Mystic, CT where we will be greeted by our local escort upon arrival at the Mystic Seaport Museum. We will travel to historic Mystic, CT and visit the Old Mystic Seaport. Enjoy exploring the historic buildings, sailing ships and boats as well as spend the evening in Mystic, CT where we will have dinner at a popular Mystic restaurant.
Day 2: Saturday, June 7
We begin the day with breakfast at our hotel before making our way to Essex, CT.
On our way, we will make a quick picture stop at the New London Lighthouse. Next, it’s off to enjoy a scenic journey along the Connecticut River on the Steam Train and then board a paddle wheel boat for a journey on the Connecticut River. Along our ride we will enjoy a picnic lunch.
Say good-bye to Connecticut as we start our journey north to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We will make a stop at the Yankee Candle Factory for a little shopping. Then it’s on to Lincoln, NH where we spend the next three evenings. Dinner is included this evening. Relax and enjoy your mountain surroundings.
Day 3: Sunday, June 8
After breakfast, we board the coach for Squam Lake where we will enjoy a scenic cruise and have the opportunity to see loons and the site of the movie “On Golden Pond”. Next, we travel to the Mills Falls Marketplace with time for lunch and shopping on our own. Then it’s on to the Keller Haus Ice Cream and Candy Shop for a delicious ice cream treat. We return to Lincoln to freshen up for the evening, then head to the Café Lafayette Dinner Train to enjoy a two-hour ride and a delicious four course dinner. After dinner, half of the group will meet the local moose guide for a Moose Safari (8:00 PM to 11:00 PM).
Day 4: Monday, June 9
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we board the coach for a trip across the Kancamagus Highway, known as one of the Top 50 Scenic Highways in the United States. We arrive in the charming town of North Conway where we will have time for an early lunch and shopping on your own. Then we travel to the Mount Washington Cog Railroad for a trip to the 6288’ summit. We return to the hotel for dinner. The second half of the group will enjoy a Moose Safari (8:00 PM to 11:00 PM)
Day 5: Tuesday, June 10
Following breakfast at the hotel we will begin our journey home to PA with many fond memories of your Rail and Sail Adventure in New England.
