Day 1: Monday, October 2
We travel to Wytheville, Virginia today, checking into the Holiday Inn Express – Wytheville for the evening. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Tuesday, October 3

We begin the day with breakfast at our hotel before departing for Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Lunch will be at Bush’s Family Café with a tour of their Visitor Center & Museum following the meal.

This afternoon we will tour the Titanic Museum Attraction. With over 400 real Titanic artifacts valued at over four-million dollars, the permanent, interactive Titanic experience goes beyond the obvious. Upon arrival at Titanic Museum Attraction, we are greeted by one of the costumed cast members and given a boarding pass to become an actual passenger aboard the ship. Once inside, we will step back in time to 1912 as we explore over 22,000 square feet of educational history. The crew members honor the 2,208 passengers and crew by sharing their stories. Explore twenty dramatically lit galleries, experience 28- degree water, sit in an actual size lifeboat and see the only actual Titanic photos that exist on display.

We will check into The Inn on the River, have some time to freshen up, and then head to Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud Show. We’ll become part of the longest running feud in history and help the Hatfields and McCoys try to settle their differences mountain-style. Whether you are city-folk or country cuzins, you’ll love the singin’ and dancin’, mighty feats of strength, jaw-dropping stunts, and side-splitting comedy. The chaos doesn’t stop with fightin’ cousins! Watch divin’ Hillbillies and divin’ dogs, – in our brand-new swimmin’ hole! And the country cookin’ — whooee it’s good! Granny’s cookin’ up a heap of fried chicken and country pulled pork barbecue. Add smashed taters, creamy coleslaw, buttery corn on the cob, homemade rolls, creamy vegetable soup, and Granny’s special dessert. And you just might need to loosen up your belt! It’s the best dinner in town – Granny guarantees it! Come hungry ’cause it’s all you can eat!

Day 3: Wednesday, October 4

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go on a Smoky Mountain Guided Sightseeing Tour. The leaves have fallen, which makes for some incredible mountain views. Be sure to bring your camera for those photo opportunities.

Lunch will be on our own in Downtown Gatlinburg, TN.

After lunch, we will visit the Gatlinburg SkyBridge. We will take a ride up to the top of Crockett Mountain on the SkyLift, a chairlift with seats that can fit three people. The SkyDeck has a three-tier waterfall, firepit, and lots of seating. We can walk across the SkyBridge and view the entire mountain range, visit the SkyCenter which features a gift shop, and stop at the café for a snack.

Next, we will go to the Apple Barn Experience and have dinner at Applewood Farmhouse. The Apple Barn restaurant is surrounded by a few other notable Apple Barn spots – The Cider Bar, The General Store, The Creamery and Candy Factory, and The Winery. In each of the shops, we’ll find freshly made snacks, ciders, and wine, all made from the apples grown right outside the Apple Barn restaurant. Built in the 1920s, the farmhouse was converted to a restaurant and opened in 1986. It specializes in family meals and good country cookin’.

This evening we sit back and enjoy a show at the Country Tonite Theatre. In its 26th year in Pigeon Forge, Country Tonite provides the best in quality Pigeon Forge entertainment with singing, dancing, comedy gospel, American patriotism, and more filling this two-hour show. From old country to new country, they have it all.

Day 4: Thursday, October 5

Following breakfast at the hotel, Dollywood awaits us!

We will have the day on our own to explore the return of Dollywood’s Harvest Festival. There is no better place to celebrate the wonder of the changing seasons in the Smoky Mountains. See the forests come alive with vivid color, smell the apple and pumpkin treats waft through the streets, and hear the sounds of thrilling rides fill the air with adventure. After sundown, our day glows even brighter with the debut of the new Hoot Owl Hollow. We’ll discover an enchanting hideaway where a larger-than-life glowing owl and her friendly family have come home to roost among the whimsical warming glow of more than 12,000 illuminated pumpkins and towering pumpkin icons.

Day 5: Friday, October 6

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we check out and depart for Bryson City, North Carolina. All Aboard the Great Smoky Mountains Train! We’ll enjoy breathtaking scenery while chugging through Western North Carolinas’ diverse setting on this roundtrip excursion. We will travel over historic Fontana Trestle across the Fontana Lake and into the beautiful Nantahala Gorge. The train has Coach Plus seating and we enjoy a nice box lunch during the excursion.

This afternoon we will depart for Abingdon, Virginia. We will stop for dinner at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and will provide a $25 gift card to go towards your meal. Tonight, we check into the Country Inn & Suites – Abingdon.

Day 6: Saturday, October 7
