“Gemutlichkeit!” (Welcome!) to the Trapp Family Lodge. This 4-day, 3- night tour is a little of Austria, and a lot of Vermont! The Lodge is a unique mountain resort featuring Austrian-inspired architecture and European-style accommodations. We will enjoy stunning mountain views, old-world comforts, and impeccable service! Sit in on the Trapp History Talk and hear about the actual vs movie overview of the von Trapp Family. Enjoy free time in Historic Stowe Village browsing the shops. Visit the Montpelier the State Capitol – the smallest in the United States! We will also visit Morse Maple Sugar Farm and Cabot Cheese Annex. Enjoy two Afternoon Teas at the Lodge.

Day One: Tuesday, December 3
Travel day to Trapp Family Lodge Austrian Christmas! Enjoy a three-course European-style farm-to-table-style dinner in the beautiful wood-paneled Main Dining Room. Relax as you delight in a gourmet dining experience complimented with attentive service and stunning mountain views.
Day Two: Wednesday, December 4
After our Country Breakfast Buffet, a local guide will join us for the day to tour a variety of places, including Morse Maple Sugar Farm where we will learn how maple syrup is made, Farm Life Museum where we will see whimsical carved folk-like characters, and Montpelier, the state capitol of Vermont- enjoy lunch on your own at the State Capitol Café. We will finish our tours at the Cabot Cheese Annex, where you can browse the fantastic selections of Cabot products, sample cheeses, and many other Vermont specialty foods. Afternoon tea will end our day at the lodge—that evening we will have a buffet at the “Bierhall” overlooking the brewery where they make a variety of Trapp Family craft beers.
Day Three: Thursday, December 5
Today we start with a Country Breakfast Buffet followed by a talk about the Trapp Family history which includes an overview of the Von Trapp family, and a documentary film called “The Real Maria,” which features the memories of her final visit to her former home in Salzburg, Austria.
We’ll make our way to the charming and historical town of Stowe Village to shop and have lunch on your own. We will visit Cold Hollow Cider for a self-guided tour that offers an engaging and unrushed rural experience. Learn how apples, bees, maple trees and Vermont all get along and then finish our visit with a complimentary cider donut and a hot cider.
Afterward, afternoon tea will be served at the lodge. We will end our evening with a delicious dinner in the Main Dining Room.
Day Four: Friday, December 6
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we travel home with our many fond memories of our heartwarming Holiday stay at the Trapp Family Lodge.
